'Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy' Release Date Listed For May 2017 By Online Retailer
Get ready to take a nostalgic trip as Sony is set to release the highly anticipated remastered title "Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy" this year.
Sony has not yet revealed the exact release date of the much awaited remastered bundle, which includes PlayStation 4 versions of "Crash Bandicoot," "Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back" and "Crash Bandicoot Warped." According to an online listing, however, that date may just be closer than we think.
Finnish online video game retailer VPD.fi has listed the "Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy" on their website, with an initial release date of May 26, 2017. It is also listed to have a 59.99 Euro price tag.
The same online retailer marked "Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy," then called "Crash Bandicoot Remastered," for a Feb. 28, 2017 release date, according to Rectify Gaming.
The site also noted that it was previously pegged for a release the same day as Sony's other anticipated action RPG, "Horizon Zero Dawn." If the listing on the Finnish website turns out to be true, then there is a chance that Sony did realize their mistake and had the release date for "Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy" moved to a later date, instead of clashing with another PS4 exclusive game.
But then again, there is a chance that the date is simply a placeholder, a common practice in the online retail industry. We are hoping that the 59.99 euro price tag is also just another placeholder. The same site lists another PS4 exclusive, zombie apocalypse survival game "Days Gone" for a Jan. 24, 2017 release date, and we all know that's impossible.
The Playstation 4 reincarnation of the platform classic will remain faithful to its PS1 version, and Vicarious Visions made sure that the remaster sticks to the original, from the game's gameplay mechanics to its iconic stages.
"Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy" will be crashing its way exclusively to the Playstation 4 soon.
