Actor Lee Jong-Seok is known to receive the notice of enlistment but hasn't decided the date yet.

His agent, YG Entertainment released a press that it is true that there is enlistment letter for Lee Jong-Seok, but there is no final decision on the matter.

"He feels responsible for the film, "VIP" that scheduled to release during August and the TV drama, "While You Were Sleeping" that is set to be air during September, as one of the lead characters of both shows. He would like to do his best to follow the promotional schedule for both productions," the agent added.

Another media reported earlier that Lee Jong-Seok received his enlistment notice for August 10th and that he will be joining the basic military training starting the day and will be serving as a public service worker.

Regarding the report, "VIP" team responded that even if he received the notice for August 10th enlistment, Lee Jong-Seok is trying to delay the date to keep the film promotion schedule.

"VIP," which will be released on September 24, is the story of a North Korea VIP who invited to visit South Korea by the National Intelligence Service and the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) but has been pointed out as the prime suspect in a serial murder case, and of groups of people chasing after him from South Korea Special Investigation team, Secret agents of North Korea, CIA and NIS. Lee Jong-Seok plays the North Korea VIP, Kim Gwang-Il who defected to South Korea.

If his enlistment date is approved to postpone, he can appear in various promotional events including stage greetings and interviews for "VIP." The pre-production TV drama, "While You Were Sleeping" is also set to air on SBS in September.
