It has only been nearly two weeks since Prince Harry and girlfriend Meghan Markle made their first public appearance as a couple, but several speculations have already suggested that an engagement announcement could be imminent.

Markle was a picture of a proud girlfriend last May 6, Saturday, which saw Queen Elizabeth II’s grandson play polo at the Coworth Park Polo Club in Ascot, England. After the charity polo match, the couple shared a sweet kiss and embrace in the car park.

Since then, speculations arose that another royal engagement could soon be on the cards. While there was no sign of a diamond ring on Markle's hand, a senior staff at the Palace told The Daily Mail that news of an impending wedding could be made decently soon, certainly before the year ends.

According to the source, Prince Harry and Markle’s relationship are extremely serious and that they are just patiently waiting for the right time. The latter’s 36th birthday – August 04 – has been tipped as a day to watch.

That being said, Prince Harry and Markle will possibly get married at the Westminster Abbey in London, England. It comes after the church confirmed the American actress’ former marriage and Jewish background would not prevent her from having an interfaith marriage there.

“The Abbey follows the General Synod Ruling of 2002,” a spokesperson for Westminster Abbey said in a statement obtained by The Express. “Since then it has been possible for divorced people to be married in the Church of England.”

Adding fuel to the engagement rumor, Markle has reportedly been taking extra moves to prepare for a princess life – by going dark on her several social media accounts, shutting down her lifestyle blog, and even making drastic changes to her wardrobe lately.

As of press time, neither Prince Harry nor Markle has commented on the matter.
