Ubisoft has released the full patch notes for its upcoming V1.7 update for "For Honor," which details tons of changes, including increased base XP and bug fixes.

'Soft Feint' Bug Will Be Fixed, No Promise of Official Mechanic in Future

One of the many bugs exploited in "For Honor" is the use of what the community dubbed a soft feint, wherein players can cancel out of Guardbreaks and light attacks by switching quickly between guard and attack. This, according to Ubisoft, is an unintentional feature, and will be fixed in the meantime.

"The timing window to cancel out into a soft feint is not only very short, it also doesn’t trigger reliably," the developer notes state. "So no matter how hard you try to master the timing, if the window of opportunity doesn’t open, you won’t be able to soft feint."

As for whether soft feints will be officially introduced into "For Honor," Ubisoft said that there will be "no promise."

Another exploit that will be fixed by the "For Honor" V1.7 update is the unlock exploit. Attacking an enemy in guard mode and releasing guard quickly during the beginning of the attack will make the attack unparryable. Players will no longer be able to do this in the next patch.

Increased XP from Matches, New Epic Rarity

Another change that will be implemented by the "For Honor" patch update is the XP income increase. This change will be made following feedback about slow reputation level progression. This applies to all modes, whether it's a PVP, private or AI match. The update will also introduce a new Epic gear rarity, plus tons of bug fixes.

The full patch notes for the "For Honor" 1.07 update can be found on the official "For Honor" Ubisoft website. The patch update will go live across all platforms (Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC) on May 16, 8 a.m. EST.
