Here’s What to Expect from ‘Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma’ Season 3

The third season of “Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma” is in the works. Now, we go in on “Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma: The Third Plate (Moon Banquet)” to discover its release date, plot details and who among the fan-favorite manga character will make its on-screen arrival.

1. The plot

The third season of “Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma” is expected to cover the Moon Banquet Festival arc. The said arc focuses on the Moon Banquet Festival event held by the Totsuki Culinary Academy two weeks after the Stagiaire and Autumn Leaf Viewing events.

Now, Soma Yukihira (voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka) goes up against numerous Shokugeki challenges. Also, he defeats Tetsuji Kabutoyama (voiced by Masashi Nogawa) and two unnamed students at the Shokugeki arena.

2. Who is Azami Nakiri?

The third season of “Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma” is bringing in a new character, named Azami Nakiri, amidst the Moon Banquet Festival. He is the biological father of Erina Nakiri (voiced by Risa Taneda) and a previous first seat of the Elite Ten Council.

There, Azami Nakiri and his father-in-law Senzaemon Nakiri (voiced Banjo Ginga) gets into a heated argument about their respective views of what the Totsuki Culinary Academy should be. Fed up with the former’s presence, the latter demands that he leaves the campus immediately.

However, Azami Nakiri displays an official document signed in support by six of the Elite Ten Council members – including Eishi Tsukasa (voiced by Akira Ishida) and Rindo Kobayashi (voiced by Shizuka Ito) – requesting Erina Nakiri’s father to replace Senzaemon Nakiri as the new Director of Totsuki Culinary Academy.

3. When will ‘Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma’ hit the small screen?

Though there is no official air date announced yet, speculations suggest that “Food Wars: Shokugeki No Soma” Season 3 may premiere on July 2, Sunday. Like the previous one, the third season of the hit anime series will most likely consist of only 13 episodes.
