'Fast and Furious 9': Will Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson Work Together after their Feud?
After “Fast & Furious 8,” which was officially titled “Fate of the Furious,” crashed the worldwide box office opening with its massive sales, Universal has already announced two more installments in the hit action-heavy franchise.
However, what remains to be known is whether Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson, who had a falling out during the filming of the last film, will work together in the upcoming sequel.
The main reason behind the feud was not money-related, rather an argument over who got more screen time in “Fate of the Furious.” Johnson also took to his Instagram account in August to diss one of his male co-stars, later revealed to be Diesel, referring to them as “candy ass*s” and “too chicken sh*t to do anything.”
It was later reported that the cause behind the feud was more than just screen time. It was also about who got the better action scenes, the hottest girl and who got to show off their body more. The pair barely shot any scenes together in the “Fate of the Furious.” However, Johnson later conceded defeat by acknowledging that Diesel was the star of the film as his name was the first on the call sheet.
While plot details for “Fast and Furious 9,” or whatever else it will be called, have been kept under wraps, it was recently revealed that after Johnson and Diesel’s feud, the latter pulled a post-credits scene from “Fast 8,” which would have paved the way for a spinoff film featuring Johnson’s character Luke Hobbs and Jason Statham as Deckard Shaw, according to The Wrap.
According to TMZ, both actors have now buried the hatched and have agreed to work together in the upcoming sequel. The tabloid reported that Johnson and Diesel have no bad blood between them, which is the result of several private meetings between the stars to iron out their differences.
“Fast & Furious 9” is expected to hit theaters on April 19, 2019.
