Level-5 has just dropped the Western release date for the Nintendo 3DS version of "Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaire's Conspiracy."

As announced by Level-5 in an official press release (via Gematsu), mystery puzzle adventure game "Layton's Mystery Journey" will have a separate Fall release date window in the West for the Nintendo 3DS version.

The Japanese 3DS version of "Layton's Mystery Journey" will be released on Jul. 20, the same time as the iOS and Android versions. The smartphone version of the game will be released in eight different languages: Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Dutch, and Korean.

In lieu of the Western release date reveal for "Layton's Mystery Journey," Level-5 has started a new English website for the game. The English website gives a short description for the upcoming game.

The Layton Series games are comical, puzzle-laden adventure stories. Previous titles have focused on solving one large puzzle. In this new title, however, the aim is to solve many smaller mysteries woven into an intriguing overall plot. Gameplay focuses on interactions with a cast of witty characters, all taking part in a story full of dramatic developments and amusing incidents.

The cast of "Layton's Mystery Journey" was revealed as well, including four lead characters, Katrielle Layton, Sherl the talking dog, Emiliana Perfetti and Ernest Greeves. There will also be other supporting characters Katrielle will meet throughout the game.

As the above description states, "Layton's Mystery Journey" will involve solving multiple smaller puzzles, instead of a huge one. Kuniaki Iwanami will be working on the puzzles in "Layton's Mystery Journey" following the death of the "Layton" series' puzzle master, Akira Tago last year.

Apart from the official English website for "Layton's Mystery Journey," Level-5 also started various social media channels for the Layton series. Follow them on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
