Did Christina El Moussa Agree to Do ‘Flip or Flop’ Reboot Without Ex-Husband Tarek?
Christina El Moussa is playing hard to get for a possible reboot of “Flip or Flop.” In fact, the female TV host has reportedly laid down her terms and conditions before she can actually decide to keep going.
According to InTouch Weekly, Christina reportedly wants her estranged husband Tarek out of the show if HGTV plans to renew the series.
On top of that, Christina allegedly asked for a raise of $1 million along with “shorter filming hours, transportation, and her own trailer with hair, makeup, and wardrobe.”
The demands came after the network reportedly revealed their plan to broadcast only five episodes for the final run of “Flip or Flop” after four years.
“Christina knows that all of her personal drama has brought the network huge ratings. She’s in a place of power,” a source claimed.
Further reports stated that HGTV will likely grant all of her demands except Tarek’s eviction from “Flip or Flop.”
“The network wants to keep him around for the friction,” the source added.
Earlier reports suggested that Christina has been eyeing to host her own program after her marriage with Tarek fell apart.
Last year, the “Flip of Flop” hosts announced they were getting a divorce following an intense fight wherein Tarek reportedly threatened to shoot himself. Luckily, no one was hurt after the alarming incident.
“Like any couple, we had our share of issues,” the female host said. “But we went through a lot in a short amount of time.”
Christina admitted that she was relieved after they finally made the separation official. But despite the unfortunate turn of events in their marriage, the El Moussas have continued working together for “Flip or Flop.”
“Tarek and I don’t discuss each other’s personal lives. I’m happy for him and whatever steps he takes in his life and I just hope he’s happy,” Christina stated.
