Will Han Solo have a Cameo in 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi'? Harrison Ford Confirms Casting Han Solo Spinoff

(Wikipedia) Nobody can see Han Solo being played by any other actors other than Harrison Ford.

He asked for it and he eventually got it; it is not a secret that Harrison Ford wanted his character as Han Solo to be killed in the "Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi." However, George Lucas opposed his ideas and Ford returned in "The Force Awakens" while reprising his role. After being killed by Kylo Ren, fans were speculating that Han Solo will return in the next movie.

Eventually, the rumors might be indeed true. During his interview with BBC, Harrison Ford teased the reporter and the fans that his iconic character could return in the future "Star Wars" installments. He said:

"Anything is possible in space. I wanted Han Solo to sacrifice himself for the good of the other characters to bring some gravitas to the story."

Although "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" is already in production, there is no confirmation whether Han Solo will be returning in the story. Flashbacks are possible, similar to the vision that Rey had when he touched Luke Skywalker's lightsaber. Since she formed a bond with Han Solo, it is possible that Han Solo might return in one of Rey's visions.

There was also a report made by Movieweb revealing that Han Solo will be back in "The Last Jedi." However, Harrison Ford's name was not mentioned in the names of the casts.

But one thing is for sure: Han Solo will return in the spinoff movie "Star Wars Anthology: Han Solo." Although the specific plot details of "Star Wars Anthology: Han Solo" is still under wraps, the movie will be set ten years before the "Star Wars: A New Hope."

If you are expecting Harrison Ford to appear in the film, the possibility is extremely low. During his interview with Reuters, Harrison Ford provided a blunt statement regarding his involvement.

I’m sure whoever is responsible for that film, and I’m not, will think through the issues and problems of doing such a thing. Let’s make them responsible for those questions you might think to ask me [about the Han Solo movie] because I’m not involved.

"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" will premiere on Dec. 13 this year, while "Star Wars Anthology: Han Solo" is expected on May 25 on 2018.
