‘Scandal’ Season 6, Episode 11 Spoilers: Cyrus Rises to Power

By Riezel O. / 2017.04.19

Cyrus (Jeff Perry) will claim the White House in the upcoming episode of “Scandal” Season 6.

Dubbed as “Trojan House,” the episode will follow Cyrus’ victory as he was cleared of the charges related to Frankie Vargas’ (Ricardo Chavira) assassination. Although he has officially claimed the White House for himself, Mellie (Bellamy Young) is still adamant to continue the fight. Meanwhile, Olivia’s (Kerry Washington) safety will be compromised as Cyrus takes his throne.

As the synopsis posted on TV Guide reads, “Olivia and the team are determined to bring down Peus, but as the electoral college vote nears, the fight for power claims another victim.” The death of another character is truly possible as the day of The Electoral College vote nears.

It is said that the struggle for power will likely cost someone’s life, as revealed by Cartermatt. Although Huck (Guillermo Diaz) nearly died in the previous episodes, it is said that he has a strong survival rate in the upcoming episodes.

In the promo video for episode 11, it showed Mellie and Olivia talking about Cyrus’ rise to power and revealed that she will do anything just to secure her position in the White House. However, it was later revealed that there is nothing they can do to dethrone Cyrus. Olivia will also become a target of a man hunt after some circumstances arise.

Meanwhile, a press conference announcing Cyrus has been cleared off all the charges related to Frankie’s assignation will be aired, leading Olivia and Mellie to realize that they will become his next target. However, Mellie informs Olivia that she will not back down.

“Scandal” Season 6, episode 11 “Trojan Horse” is slated for release tomorrow, Apr. 20, 9|8c on ABC. The episode is directed by Jann Turner, written by Jess Brownell and Nicholas Nardini.
